Notes: With "nothing" going on in Alice Springs I was ready to move onto something more scenic. I left just before "dawn" and scudded along the ground for awhile, then climbed on up to 10,000 feet. 
The "green" finally fades in a hundred miles or so from the Ocean
and despite ATCs instruction to land to the north I took the crossing runway from the southwest.
